Geography

Local Area

Did you know that the Thames River has been running through London for over 4,000 years?

Did you know that Regent's Park was once owned by the kings and queens?

Did you know that Primrose Hill is 65 m tall?

We became experts in one of the local landmarks and taught the class what we learned this week.

A Walking Tour

Today we walked around the local area and saw some different places.

We started at our school and found out the history of it.

Why it is called Christ Church Bentinck?

We also found out that one of the people who works there now used to be a student and met the queen mother.

We then walked to Edgeware Road Station and learned about how it was one of the oldest tube lines in the world.

Off down the road we went to the Paddington basin.

That was a cool place to go to.

We got to see the canals and how they have changed over time.

Geography and History merged into one lesson today.

Next week we will see Marylebone station and talk about Regent Park.
