Playing with playdough and clay

Shaping playdough and clay builds up strength in all the handmuscles and tendons. Poking in objects and pulling them out, squashing, squeezing, rolling, flattening, chopping, cutting, scoring and shredding aid in fine motor development, hand-eye coordination and concentration.

We are shaping the clay as diya and the playdough as Indian sweets for Diwali.
