At the beginning of the term, the Nursery class was given homework to learn about minibeasts. Some families went to the park to see some minibeasts and others used magazines and the internet to search for ideas.
Then the parents were invited to learn about minibeasts with their child in class. Some were scared and others were brave, but it helps when parents / carer are around when one is scared of something.
We have learnt about the difference between minibeasts and non-minibeasts. We had the opportunity to see, touch, feel and hear the giant millipede, giant African snail, hermit crab, hissing cockroach, bearded dragon and snake among others!
