Mark making in the early years

 

Children make marks for many reasons. Through their marks they are communicating their ideas, expressing their feelings, developing their imagination and creativity. All children need to develop their pre-writing skills also called writing readiness before they can literally write and draw. We provide a variety of opportunities to develop these skills.
