The Stone Age

Year 3 have started to learn about their new history topic...The Stone Age.

We worked together to make a human time line to show just how long ago The Stone Age was. We then worked in partners to order key events that happened in the Stone Age.

Year 3 had a Class Assembly in which they looked at what a prayer is. Children demonstrated different ways in which they pray at home, in the church or at mosque.  Then children reflected on what kind of things to say in your prayer such as saying 'Thank You' to God, asking God for help or his blessings.

In R.E. (and PSCHE), Year 3 discussed one of God's rule: 'DO TO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO TO YOU'    Children explained what the rule means and how they can follow it everyday in their lives.

In PSHE, Year 3 have been thinking about listening skills. We talked about how it feels to be listened to, as well as how it feels when we are not being listened to.

 

We made some rules to help us show good listening behaviour.

Welcome to Year 3's class page!

 

My name is Miss Calvert and I would like to welcome you to a new 

school year.

 

We are very lucky in Year 3, as Ms Jaan will be working with some children during Maths and Literacy lessons. Ms Elvin, Ms Chodorowska and Ms Shpuza will also be supporting in the classroom.

 

On Friday mornings, we will be going swimming. Please make sure that children bring their swimming kit into school on this day.
