Year 5 SCIENCE - Living Things and their Habitats
Placental Mammals such as a rabbit, whose young grow inside the female's body and are born fully developed.
Monotreme mammals such as a platypus whose young hatch from eggs.
Marsupials mammals whose young are born incompletely developed and who are then carried and fed in a pouch on the female's stomach until they are fully developed.
We also looked at the life cycles of insects such as a butterfly and amphibians such as a frog who undergometamorphosis as part of their life cycle.

In class, we created a friendship chain to show how we can be a great friend towards others.
A great friend is helpful, shares with others, caring, respectful, truthful and always makes you smile.
