Breakfast Club

We aim to provide pupils of all ages with a safe, secure and happy environment to start their school day. Also we aim to provide a range of stimulating, challenging and enjoyable experiences for all the children, giving them the opportunity to develop personal and interpersonal skills, their self-esteem and the motivation to learn.

Breakfast Club gives an opportunity to relate and cooperate with children of different ages. For example, the older children will help the younger ones with reading skills and taking turns accepting the outcomes of games.

Children are offered a nutritious breakfast with a selection of cereals, breads, spreads, yoghurts and fruit. Occasionally, the menu is supplemented with seasonal treats. Water is freely available at all times.

Activities include: board and maths games, reading for pleasure, homework help, crafts, drawing and colouring. There are also themed activities linked to events such as Eid, Mother’s Day, Christmas…

Children are free to participate, under the supervision of the staff, in a range of free play and structured activities. Taking part in the setup and tidy up of activities helps them to develop ownership as they learn to take care of equipment, co-operate and share.
