Creative Crafts Club
After school club aims, learning & objectives:
The aims, learning and objectives of the creative crafts club are: For the pupils to design, construct and decorate, decorative items. The pupils will produce designs on a design sheet to show the ideas of the pupils. From the design sheet, the pupils will make a choice, of which design idea, in which they would like to make or construct. While making their decorative craft items, the pupils will use a variety of arts, crafts and design resources and materials.
To provide a creative atmosphere as if the pupils were in employment, working in a creative studio or creative company.
As the pupils are of different ages and from different year groups, from year 1 - year 6, the aim of the creative crafts club to be educational, creative, fun and enjoyable. The objectives and learning objectives of the creative crafts club sessions are for the pupils to gain understanding, knowledge and practical hands on experiences of the many creative subjects, activities, creative items and techniques within the creative areas of arts, crafts & design.
As the pupils design and make decorative craft items they will use and learn about the variety of arts & crafts resources and materials with keywords. During the creative crafts club sessions, the pupils creative, imaginative and moto skills will be gained and enhanced.
The pupils will be given after school club homework to complete at home. At the last week of the after school creative craft club, the pupils will present an exhibition to display all the decorative items made in the after school creative crafts club sessions and after school club homework, to family members, other pupils and staff members of Christ Church Bentinck School.
