Placental Mammals such as a rabbit, whose young grow inside the female's body and are born fully developed. 
Monotreme mammals such as a platypus whose young hatch from eggs.

Marsupials mammals whose young are born incompletely developed and who are then carried and fed in a pouch on the female's stomach until they are fully developed.

We also looked at the life cycles of insects such as a butterfly and amphibians such as a frog who undergometamorphosis as part of their life cycle.
