Our topic for this term is algorithms and debugging.
This week we practiced coding.
This week we planned algorithms to solve problems. We used Lego to build a maze and then has to write an algorithms to lead our partner through the maze.
We have been looking at how to decompose a game to predict algorithms. We followed instructions carefully whilst playing an unplugged version of a dinosaur themed game.
Term 1
The topic for this term is what is a computer?
Today we discussed how people control technology. We designed robots to help make our lives easier. These robots needed to have an input to allow us to give them instructions for example buttons or voice activated.
We shared our designs with the class. We had lots of different ideas from homework robots, cleaning robots and money printing robots. 20/9
We learnt to recognise the parts of a computer such as a keyboard and mouse and how these parts work to control the technology. 13/09
