‘Getting the Playground Ready for Spring’

At CCB we learn about our natural environment as part of the school curriculum and through local educational visits.

We have been working with Trees for Cities and Lancaster University to monitor air population in and outside of our school building.  The photos below identify where we have placed the monitoring tubes.

Trees for Cities - 'Planting Healthy Air' came to CCB to lead class workshops in preparations for our playground improvements

Mr Dry, the site manager, worked with members of the Eco-Club to develop our greenhouse on the roof . The children learnt a lot about seeds, plants and trees. Thank you Mr Dry.

Eco-Club enjoyed growing herbs and selling the plants to parents and visitors.
