Term 4: World Book Day ccelebrations!

Term 3: Our class novels for the term are 'The Matchbox Diary' by Paul Fleischman and 'The Journey' by Francesca Sanna.

Term 2: Performance Poetry. For this term's poetry week Year 5 worked on learning, practicing and performing a poem called 'The Tiger'.

Term 2 Class Novel: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

Talk Homework: Year 5 did an incredible job planning, writing and delivering their talk homework presentations. The theme this term was 'Where in the world..?'

Term 1: Year 5 wrote diaries from the perspective of 'Tim the Ostler' from the Highwayman, capturing the moment he caught the Highwayman with Bess! The children acted out hot seating Tim's character to aid their writing.

Term 1: On National Poetry Day Year 5 worked in groups to perform the poem 'My Mind'.
