Term 1

We have been developing our knowledge of numbers and the number system by reading, writing, ordering and comparing 2-digit numbers.

We learned about the greater than and less than symbols and used these to compare numbers.

We worked on our understanding of place value and used practical resources like place value cards and base 10 blocks to help with this.

Term 3

We have been learning about 3D shapes and their properties.

We learned about the 2D shapes on the faces of 3D shapes, and how these can fit together to make a net.

We worked in pairs to make 3D shapes such as a cube, a cuboid, a square-based pyramid, a tetrahedron and a triangular prism.

Term 2

We have enjoyed revising money through an interactive online activity. 

Today we used a ruler to accurately measure lines using cm. 

Today we started exploring different coins. We used 1p and 10p coins to make different amounts. 

Term 1 

In maths we have been looking at place value. We used manipulatives to help us understand the value of the digits in 2-digit numbers. We showed this in different ways. 03.10
