Personal, Social & Emotional Development

EYFS Statutory Educational Programme:

Children’s personal, social and emotional development (PSED) is crucial for children to lead healthy and happy lives, and is fundamental to their cognitive development. Underpinning their personal development are the important attachments that shape their social world. Strong, warm and supportive relationships with adults enable children to learn how to understand their own feelings and those of others.

We're learning to be resilient. We sang a song about not being able to do something using the magic word... YET! If we keep trying and bounce back from things that go wrong, we will be able to reach our goals!

NHS nurses visited our school to discuss the importance of eating healthily and exercising to keep our bodies strong!

The school nurse showed us how to keep our teeth and mouth healthy!

We are making new friends!

We created mirrors with ourselves reflected in them and described why we are different and special.

Circle time helps us feel more confident and comfortable sharing our thoughts and feelings with others.
