In Term 3, our Year 4 students explored the effects of different drinks on tooth decay through a hands-on science inquiry. Each group formulated their own investigative question, such as “Do drinks with more sugar cause more tooth decay?” To ensure a fair test, students measured equal amounts of each liquid into cups and placed a boiled egg in each one, representing tooth enamel. After five days, they carefully observed and recorded the changes, comparing the results to their predictions. This engaging experiment helped students develop their scientific thinking while learning about dental health in a fun and interactive way!
