Understanding the World
We have learned that some people celebrate Eid. We used the Busy Things program to create plates of food.
We decorated an Easter egg for Computing using the Busy Things program. We are learning to use the different tools using the mouse or interactive whiteboard.
We have learned that the Chinese Lunar New Year is after an animal. We used the Busy Things to choose our favourite animal and coloured it.
We have learned that some animals live in the Antarctic region.
We have learned that some animals lived in a very cold place like the Arctic region.
We have learned that the snowflakes are formed in different patterns.
We are learning to use the mouse. We used the Busy Things program to colour an angel.
We made a Poppy picture using the Busy Things program in Computing.
Rangoli patterns
We are learning about the celebration of Diwali. The Hindus decorate their homes with Rangoli patterns. We used the Busy Things program to create our Rangoli patterns on the interactive whiteboard.
We had the pleasure to listen and see one of our pupils who played a special instrument called pipa.

We have been learning about the savanna habitat and the animals that live there. We painted a savanna picture using paint. We also drew and cut our chosen animal and stuck it on our painting.
We have learned that chicks need food and water.
We have learned that chicks need sleep.
The chicks need the heat from the light in the absence of a mother hen. They also need each other as they are social animals.
The chicks have been moved to the brooder box.

Arctic and Antarctic environment
Autumn tree finger printing
We were learning about Remembrance day. We printed poppy flowers using paint.
We were looking at how the bread changes after it is toasted. It became hot, the colour changed from white to brown and it became crunchy and hard.
We are learning about Diwali.
We have noticed that at this time of year the leaves of the tree outside our class still has green leaves. We represented the tree through finger painting.
Senses! We have learned that we use our tongue to taste and nose to smell. We found out about the different tastes such as sweet, sour and salty and the smell of garlic and perfume.
We are learning about our daily weather and we like singing this song.
We are reading the story Oliver's Vegetables.
