DT & Art
We learned about colour mixing and practised making secondary colours like green, orange and purple.
We tried making different shades by adding different amounts of each colour.
We also used white to make lighter colours.
This will help us with our Summer term art project.
In the Spring term, we designed and made animal glove puppets.
First we created a design, then we stitched two pieces of felt together.
We had to concentrate really hard!
Next we decorated our puppets!
We needed to look carefully at our original design to make our product match as closely as possible.
For our 3D art project, linked to our Geography topic, we made islands.
We really enjoyed using paint, sand, paper, cardboard and fabric to create our islands.
For our DT project we made castles, which links to our History topic,
'Kings and Queens'.
We worked in pairs and small groups to make our castles and thought carefully about the features we would need to include.
