Term 4 - Poetry Writing - Michael (the main character from Kensuke's Kingdom), received a jellyfish sting. So, some of the Year 6 children wrote poems about the jellyfish.
Term 3 - Descriptive Writing - using Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo for inspiration
Term 2: We have really enjoyed delving into our new story this week. We wrote narratives that build tension and atmosphere based on the opening of 'clockwork'. Here we are doing some group planning of setting descriptions in the 'White Horse Tavern'.
Term 2: Our new class book is 'Clockwork' by Philip Pullman.
Year 6 Diaries: 'My worst day ever!' and 'My best day ever!'
Term 1 - Here we are feeling proud of our finished work! We edited and published our finished diaries on the computer.
Term 1 - We brainstormed emotive sentences and were inspired by an example diary of the best and worst day of someone's life. We will use these in our plans for our own version of this story!
