Term 3: We explored the themes in our new book and responded to the moment in the story when the family arrive on Ellis Island for the first time.
Term 3: Our book focus for this term is 'The Matchbox Diary' by Paul Fleischman and 'The Journey' by Francesca Sanna
Term 2: We have been studying our focus book, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S.Lewis, using it as a stimulus to write persuasive letters to Queen Jadis asking her to bring back Summer. Here is us doing some pair editing, to ensure we kept a formal, persuasive tone throughout our piece.
Term 2: We began our work on our new class novel, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Here is us hot seating Lucy Pevensie, to understand more about what it would feel like to discover a magical world!
Term 1: In reading this week, we performed Act 1 Scene 1 of William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'. Our focus this term has been reading skills: Retrieval, Inference, Author's Intent and Summarising.
