PSHE

Term 5

Iris from MIND visited our class to talk to us about how we can regulate our emotions.

We talked about how to identify how we are feeling, as well mas strategies we can use to help us get into, or stay, in the 'Green Zone' - a place in which we feel calm and ready to learn.

Iris showed us some breathing techniques that we can use if we are feeling upset, angry or anxious.

Term 4

This term we are learning about being safe in the community and who we can approach if we feel unsafe.

We role played situations that could make us feel unsafe and what we can say to adults if we need help.

Term 3

In PSHE this term we also learnt about feeling safe and unsafe.

We learnt about who we can go to for help if we feel unsafe.

Term 3

In PSHE this term we learnt about being aware of our bodies and keeping parts of our body private from other people.

The school nurse came to our class to lead a workshop called PANTS.

In PSHE we thought about acts of kindness.

We thought about some kind things that we could say about someone else in the class, recorded these and said them to each other.

It made us feel good to hear our partner compliment us, and we found it also feels nice to give a compliment too.

This term in PSHE we are thinking about emotions.

We talked about different feelings and the different words we can use for these, for example for happy, we can use…joyful, ecstatic, content, glad

We thought about how our faces and bodies show the way we are feeling.

We stood back to back with someone so we couldn't see what the other person was doing and showed the same emotion.

We learned that we all show our emotions in different ways…even if the emotion is the same!
