Winter

Over the term, Nursery class listened to stories about Winter, such as Snow Bear, Stick Man and Gruffalo's Child. They played with polar bears in pretend snow and created a polar bear collage. They talked about wearing hats, gloves and scarves to keep warm in Winter and dressed up a teddy bear and themselves in hats, gloves and scarves. The children played with real snow and made links with their previous experiences. Nursery used glue to stick glitter to a paper doily to create a sparkly snowflake. Finally they played with ice and observed it melting during the morning.
