  • International evening

    Fri 15 Mar 2019

International evening is approaching fast and we are busy making plans for a successful International evening on Friday 22nd  March from 5.30-7.15pm.  Tickets are selling fast, so please buy your tickets to avoid any disappointment. They are on sale for £5 for adults and £3 for children over three years of age.  There is a limit of 6 tickets per family.

Due to health and safety regulations tickets are only available for families of pupils currently attending the school (not friends and neighbours).  As you are aware, all children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult throughout the evening.

Children will not be allowed to come alone. We are asking parents to provide a dish of food on the evening (preferably that you have prepared) enough for six people.

You have had wonderful food in the past, so we should see some delicious international dishes – but please make sure that there are no nuts in the dishes.

There will be a traditional costume competition for adults and children with four prizes for the best traditional costume, so get working on your outfits.

There will also be a raffle with some wonderful prizes to be won.  Raffle tickets are on sale now and on the evening of 22nd March.  Raffle tickets will cost £2.00 per strip and can be bought by everyone, even if you are not attending the event.

This year, as part of the evening entertainment, the children will be participating in a selection of dances from around the world. Don Rae will once again be supporting us with this event

  • Summer term After School clubs

    Fri 15 Mar 2019

All after school clubs will finish for the Spring term on Friday 29th March, except for Breakfast club which finishes on the last day of term 5th April.  The Summer term clubs will start on Monday 29th April.

Club lists will be displayed on the notice board in the playground, and you may also check your Parentpay account to see which club/clubs your child will be attending.  Payment for clubs must be made via Parentpay before the clubs start.

  • World Book Day

    Fri 01 Mar 2019

We will be celebrating World Book day on Thursday 7th March 2019 by having a “Pyjama day”. The children may come to school wearing pyjamas or a onesie, but must wear appropriate shoes for outdoor play. They may also wear slippers and a dressing gown in class if they wish. Pyjamas must have full length trousers and short or long sleeves (no sleevless tops). The girls must wear pyjamas or a onesie

    (no nightdresses or shorts).

The children will be challenged to think of as many book titles as they can that make a reference to pyjamas, e.g. Phillipa Pearce’s Tom’s Midnight Garden, David Walliams’ The Midnight Gang.
